A PASSION FOR MUSIC:
One of my favorite pastimes, which I’m sure is shared by many of my fellow Villa girls, is singing, listening to, and playing music. So I loved being a part of Villa’s fall musical production, Seussical the Musical! I was able to participate in the production by playing in the pit band. It was really fun! All of the girls who participated in the musical, whether on stage, in the band, or behind the scenes, put so much time and effort into the production, and it certainly paid off!
There were three performances—Friday, November 9, Saturday, November 10, and a matinee on Sunday, November 11—and all three shows were packed with people! I was so happy that so many of my fellow classmates came to see the play. At the final performance on Sunday, we had a chance to show our thanks to the Senior girls who will be leaving next year. It is so weird to think that most of them, who have been in almost every show since their Freshman year, will not be in the shows next year! They will be missed.
In my opinion, participating in Villa’s dramatic productions is a great way to have fun and put on a fantastic show for your fellow classmates! So if you’re interested in shows, whether you like to be center stage, behind the curtains, or you have a passion for music, like me, make sure you participate! You won’t regret it!
