SECOND SEMESTER BEGINS:
It’s hard to believe the second semester has started already, and it has welcomed in a whole new set of exciting events! Winter Formal was a nice reward after completely mind-draining midterms, and I had a wonderful evening dancing and chatting with my date. Everyone was dressed in their finest attire, lots of sequins and bow ties. Being inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society had to be one of the coolest things to happen so far. I even got a fancy pin to wear on my sweater :) (the littlest things are the best!). Congrats to everyone else who got inducted – our hard work has paid off! I also was accepted as a member of the All-Catholic District Concert Band! I cannot wait to play some amazing music with the district’s best high school musicians! We will be performing at the Kimmel Center in the spring.
Spirit Week has sadly just come to a close. The traditional Mr. Monday made it a bit tricky to pick out my friends. Tiara Tuesday filled the hallways with pink, glitter, tutus, and did I mention glitter? Onesie Wednesday was by far the most relaxing day since everyone was chilling in their jammies, and Theater Thursday made characters like the Cat in the Hat and Patrick Star come to life. The most treasured week of the year was certainly quite memorable.
The staff of Quintessence, the school literary magazine, has become super busy now that the deadline to submit has closed. We are swimming in submissions! Thanks to all who sent in their pieces. I’m excited to see the completed magazine, even though we’ve got lots to do until then. :D
