FALL FUN AT VILLA:
Wow, it feels great to be back and blogging! There have already been so many fun events that have happened this school year, one of them being the Mother Daughter Tea! Since I’m a Sophomore, I was eligible to model in the Fashion Show. All the models got to choose a beautiful dress to show off on the runway. I thought I would be nervous, but once I got up on the catwalk, my fears disappeared, and I was able to smile for the photographer!
Not too long ago, Villa collaborated with a local fundraiser called Bike the Basin. Bike the Basin raises money toward and awareness of Retinal Blindness and supports children in our community who face living with this condition every day. The Villa Band volunteered to provide some entertainment at the event and definitely spiked some spirit in the hearts of the little bike racers! I’m glad Villa was able to raise so much money and awareness for such a good cause, and I’m happy that I was part of that experience!
Also around the same time, the Villa Band played at the Northampton Days Parade. It was a bright sunny morning and just the perfect day for an outdoor performance. Afterwards, my friends and I had fun walking around to visit all the booths and sponsors of the event. The Band barbeque also was quite a success. We all had a great time eating delicious BBQ food right off the grill and celebrating Sonny’s birthday. Shout out to Sonny for being such a great music teacher!
The fall musical, “Seussical the Musical,” was a huge success! I had the pleasure of playing in the pit band! It truly wouldn’t have been a show without such a brilliant, upbeat soundtrack. The whole cast was so talented! Great job, everyone!
