HAPPINESS IS VILLA FOOD:
When I came into school on the morning of November 29, the hallways were empty, which was surprising. Then somebody screamed, “Food!” I went into the student lounge and saw huge tables filled with every type of food you could possibly think of. All of it was FREE too! There were delicious cookies, hot cocoa, bagels with different kinds of cheese, and fruits and veggies! It was a great day, spent stuffing ourselves with all this wonderful cuisine. I would try to get as many treats between classes as I could, but there was never enough time. It was all very yummy!
The parents of the students each contributed to the Christmas feast. They made scrumptious baked goods and bought fruit, soft pretzel nuggets, and nachos. I soon learned that this day is a tradition at Villa, and it was by far one of my favorite memories so far! It was amazing, and I think I speak for everyone when I say this: we loved the food! The day also got me into the Christmas spirit and was a splendid surprise. Thank you to all the parents who worked so hard to organize this exciting event!
