SEUSSICAL!:
This year has had many firsts for me—the first time coming to a new school, the first time writing a blog (which I am proud to say that I am writing right now!), and my first high school play.
I’ve had previous drama experience and have been in four plays before, but I was more intimidated for this one because I knew going into it that it would probably be more difficult. After all, it’s at the high school level, and everyone else in the cast would be older and used to everything. Being a Freshman, I’ve been feeling that way a lot, so it wasn’t a surprise to me. What was a surprise was how I was able to adapt to new things so quickly and feel at home after school almost… every… single… exhausting… day… until… seven o’clock PM… in the gym. We all survived through it because everyone was close friends with each other, and we were able to have fun along with the work. I got to meet new people along the way and make memories that will stay with me forever (cue cheesy music and “Awwwwww’s!”).
I’m just joking because anything’s possible. You are probably reading this and thinking that I am the biggest blame fool in the Jungle of Nool, but I’m certainly not because I do not like green eggs and ham! Ah, all the jokes you can joke when you joke about SEUSS!
Anyway, practices were fun and exhausting at times but definitely well worth it because the show turned out to be a great success! Many laughs were shared, and everybody was so proud of the entire cast. It was a great introduction for me to Villa Drama, and I already can’t wait until the next show!
